Group Visits and Field Trips

In 2011, California passed the FAIR Education Act, which mandates the inclusion of disability history in K-12 curriculum. We offer Patient No More as a resource for teachers seeking fulfill the FAIR Act with a richer experience than just another lesson about Helen Keller or FDR. Someone from the Longmore Institute would be more than happy to schedule a visit to your class or group. Contact: Emily Beitiks by email at beitiks@sfsu.edu or by phone at (415) 405-3528.
