Nathan Burns (they/he) is a graduate student in the Sexuality Studies MA program following graduating with a BA in Sociology and minor in LGBTQ Studies. Academically, their research looks at contemporary queer and disabled culture and community building, particularly in online spaces. They are incredibly passionate about social justice in all forms, and is especially interested in how disability, gender, sexuality, and pop culture interact in our society. Being disabled and queer, Nathan lives this intersection first-hand, and loves to explore and analyze it in detail, especially within books and film. They are honored to be able to work with the Longmore Institute and with the Superfest Phase 1 jury to bring disability culture to the forefront.
