The Annual Longmore Lecture in Disability Studies presents “Movement Is The Movement: Art, Activism, and Disability Aesthetics"

Alice Sheppard takes her performance and dance-making practices offstage, placing her commitment to the disability arts movement at the center of her academic and activist work.

Bio: Alice Sheppard is is a freelance dancer and choreographer. She has danced with companies such as AXIS Dance Company. She is also the co-founder of SheppardDeS, a duet company that questions mainstream representations of disabled, racialized bodies.
