Live Stream: Longmore Lecture with Mia Mingus

Emergency update 2/6/2017: Our 2/7 Longmore Lecture has been postponed. Mia has a terrible cold. We will reschedule when she is feeling better and promote our live stream then!

On February 7, 2017, we are pleased to welcome Mia Mingus who will present on "Access Intimacy, Interdependence, and Disability Justice." For event details, visit: Can't join us in person? We're pleased to announce that we will be offering a captioned live stream of Mia's presentation, 5pm PST.

Register now: After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. We recommend you download Zoom in advance if the platform is new to you.

Additional Instructions for selecting between the captioning screen and the screen showing Mia Mingus: When you join the zoom session, the captions will be in the large window. To switch between the captions and the video, click on the switch video icon. Here Christian in Academic Technology has added an arrow to show where to click: A shot of a word doc to show what the captioning screen will look like with small presenter shot. Next, click on the Large thumbnail icon to make the box bigger.

After doing so you can also use the mouse to resize it by dragging the corner.

If you do not want to see the captions, click on the "–" sign in the caption window to collapse it. Now the presenter's screen is larger and the captioning screen is small. Please join in the conversation as you watch on Twitter by using #LongmoreLecture @LongmoreInst @MiaMingus. We will also share the captioned video following the event. Thank you!
