Brown Bag: Intergenerational Perspectives on Disability with Anthony Tusler and Alex Locust

 

Long-time disability activist Anthony Tusler and recent SFSU graduate Alex Locust explain and discus different perspectives of promoting disability equity. Leading off will be a brief history of the disability civil rights movement, an examination of disability culture, and the evolution of the social model of disability. Then there will be an explanation for how contemporary models of cultural humility, microaggressions, and intersectionality are important to understanding disability justice. Ample time will be made available for questions and discussion.
