"Crip Relations: Critical Disability Studies Now"

If disability is largely experienced in relation - to other people, to buildings, and other structures, to histories and practices - how might we understand the many complex relations with feminist, queer, or critical race and ethnic studies?

Alison Kafer is Associate Professor and Chair of the Feminist Studies program at Southwestern University, where she also teaches courses in the Environmental Studies and Race and Ethnic Studies programs. She is the author of Feminist, Queer, Crip (Indiana UP, 2013) and is currently co-editing (with Michelle Jarman) a special issue of Disability Studies Quarterly on growing disability studies.
